As the Managing Director of The FinLab from 2015 to 2018, Felix Tan has led his team to successfully run three acceleration cycles and now has 13 portfolio companies across 6 countries selected from more than 1,000 applications across 50 countries. He provides mentorship and guidance to the startups in the sharpening of business models, strategic planning, and go-to-market strategies.

On 12 February 2018, The FinLab announced Singapore’s 1st acceleration programme for SMEs. Two months later on 12 April, the selected SMEs were revealed at a media event held at The Arts House.

On 15 August 2018, The FinLab held its Showcase Day at the School of the Arts, Singapore (SOTA) to share the milestones achieved by the 11 participating SMEs (including four Travel Agencies introduced by the Singapore Tourism Board and the technology solutions they are piloting.

As The FinLab begins to regionalize its programme for SMEs starting in 2019, Felix has taken on the role of Co-Head to lead the programme in Thailand. Officially launched on 6 March 2019, Felix and his team have successfully conducted two Business Transformation Workshops for over 80 Thai SMEs, and have since selected 15 into Thailand’s first “Smart Business Transformation” programme that was kicked off on 21 May 2019.
